hey /wsr/ I have a problem with my xbox 360 slim and i think the composite cables are at fault. Whenever I play tv off my cable box i get a clear image and a crisp sound. However, whenever I play on my xbox the image quality is mediocre at best and the sound quality is all static, like there is a woodchipper playing in the background in my games. the only thing I have proof that it might be composite cables fault is that my cable tv quality is great but my xbox quality is terrible, also I earlier today i didn't get sound on my xbox until i pulled out the composite cable...

Yeah, I had the same problem when I accidentally vacuumed up my cables once. They're pretty cheap at radioshack, but I'd go ahead and upgrade to a newer console. I heard some news about new xbox hardware coming out soon, so I'd maybe wait a bit on it.

So my parents computer keeps coming onto this screen whenever booting up. It just keeps running until the screen goes completely black and stays that way until you turn it off. Upon turning it on again it comes back to this screen and vice versa.

Vector problem help wanted (I will use caps for vectors): If A and B are given vectors with magnitudes a and b, and if C=aB+bA and D=aB-bA then find the angle between C and D in terms of a and b.

I can't be bothered to do it formally, but I'll give you an idea. At least, that's how I'd solve it by intuition.
You're looking for the angle between aB+bA and aB+(-bA). aB and aB go in the same direction, so the angle is 0. bA and -bA go in opposite directions, so the angle is pi (180 degrees).
aB and bA are of the same length, both a*b.
This means they both influence the final angle in the same amount. So you just need the average of 0 and pi. Which is pi/2.
Hint: if the scalar product is 0 then the vectors are perpendicular (the angle between them is pi/2)

what i never get about theses threads is why everyone who wants something hand-drawn cleaned-up always daws on graph paper or ruled paper... is it because everyone smart enough to draw on blank paper is also smart enough to properly digitize their own drawings? honest question - it just baffles my mind! blank paper isn't hard to come by and allows for more creative freedom anyway, yet it's always lines or checkers everywhere in threads like this...
a close second is the ever-present massive fucking shadow over half the drawing.

I could see your point, but this was just something I sketched on train on my way to work. It's not even required for what I'm using it for, but I though the use of images would increase the quality of the thread.
To answer you question I'd imagine the prevalence of lined or graph paper is due simply because it's easier to get some level of symmetry in the drawing. I used the lines to try and get things similarly sized.

Hello. I'm in a bit of a bind. I have a portrait (pic related ) due in Art class and due to family issues I was unable to go to class to do it.
