Double battles are the only thing that presents any sort of challenge to pokemon games, and even then Colosseum was easy as fuck.
It's slow paced tedium.
The shadow-mechanic is just tedium that removes the depth the original game has by spamming the same two shadow moves.

I liked Chesnaught and Emboar would have been fine if we hadn't gotten three Fire/Fighting types in a row.
It doesn't really matter to me if Rowlet is PU as long as it's at least usable in-game. Most starters aren't very good competitively.
More fire/fighting sucks, but people consider Blaziken furbait and I still like it.
