Actually, I'm confused about this decision. We still see a model for the trainer in battle, doing all sorts of poses, even one for when they're defeated. Why didn't they just have the model do something for this? They did it for the rival.

I'm sorry, I'd like to use this thread as a departure letter to /vp/ and the pokemon franchise. I can't bring myself to enjoy the series continuation any longer. It's becoming increasingly difficult to be excited for the future, I can't bear to watch gamefreak furthering the destruction of the franchise.
At least I'll always have the old games and can pretend the rest never happened.

I'm ok with it. It's kind of nice to see more stuff about the Pokemon on the switch screen rather than having to click through multiple screens to see shit.
My only gripe is that the status covers the level and gender.
