I just checked Bulbapedo and Ledyba's SM Dex entry isn't a copy of any of the old ones.

His team is made up of the first 6 Pokémon suggested after any valid team call or new champ claim. It'Shard to keep battling with the same team, however; after a few battles champ may call for a new one. It's equally important to not Hoge the spotlight, so after a while he can also call for a new champ. And from there, the cycle continues!

What do you all think of the rival having a pichu?
Do you think this is just to have the series mascot in the game, Or do you think pichu will be switched out depending on your starter. Seeing as Litten is weak to Popplio, Pichu could have been chosen so the player will have something weak to their starter and strong against their starter. Maybe have Pikipek if you choose Rowlet, or Rock Doggo if you choose Litten. Just food for thought.

yeah, older games totally weren't harder guys. We just grew up. It has absolutely nothing to do with the devs actively changing the franchise.
Its very smart. Since they abandoned grid movement there is no longer a way to tell at which point their line of sight triggers. This way you have a short window to react.
