It's both, but mainly XY.
They're definitely getting easier.
The previous games didn't hand you an exp share at the beginning of the game that overleveled your Pokemon without even needing to use them nor did they hand you free stones mid game that essentially turn your Pokemon into legendaries.

Here's the info you'll need to create your own-
To trade any of these on WT or GTS you'll need to remove the classic ribbon. You can also make Zygarde shiny and it WILL trade. This event is not shiny locked. All three SHINY versions can be traded without the classic ribbon and to trade it with the classic ribbon just keep everything official except for the stats which you can make 6x31.

What about OT memories?
I thought all the gen6 events have "this pokemon has a good memory but cannot remember" as the OT memory, because the OT is the event, so it can't have memories of normal gameplay.
