why hasn't Gamefreak made a game that includes all the obtainable pokemon yet? the romhacks show that it can be done but why can't the developers do this?
Because there will always be that one schmuck who buys both versions.

The game will have so much content, that the next game will be stupidly expensive to make, because it will have to have atleast an equal amount of content to not be disappointing. But if it did, people will be disappointed because 95% of the content will be the same content as the last game.

We know Pokken is coming out in Mid March, the 18th I think. The Arcade controller is coming too on the same day. Local play is locked to 30fps and somebody has to use the Wii U gamepad. Online and arcade are 60fps.

I've never played Red, and I'm not sure whether I should play the original or the fire red remake.
They're different games.
I'd play both if I were you.
The remake is just like the original, but better. That isn't hard though since Kanto is the worst region anyways.

You have to defeat every fairy type with it, then talk to Professor Sycamore after teaching it Baby-Doll Eyes, Charm, Dazzling Gleam, and a blank 4th moveslot. He'll tell you that it looks like your Espeon has "gained the power of its defeated foes" and offer to "more appropriately calibrate" for you. Click yes, then he'll tell you to wait outside the lab, as it will take some time. Go back in and he'll give you your new Sylveon!

This is a mess, but I have a hypothesis:
Pokemon Z was tentatively planned for a 2015 holiday release almost immediately after (or during) X and Y wrapped up development in keeping with the annual release schedule, but comparatively poor reception to ORAS forced them to rethink this strategy and spend more time on development.
At this point it was slated for an early 2016 release, and development of tie-in material (anime, etc.) was scheduled to coincide with the release of the new game. But since then, GF central has gone radio silent, which leads me to suspect something fucked up on the game development front and it's probably been internally pushed back to sometime later this year, but this setback happened too late to delay/alter the anime and other tie-in material, which continues to release on its original schedule.
This is why the anime is introducing new forms and using "Z" in its advertising, and why Corocoro showed off Mega Zygarde so early, etc., because GF probably planned on having Pokemon Z out on store shelves sometime in February/March, before whatever this setback was occurred.
