I know people have talked before how they want a Pokemon MMO, but I have to ask, would it be good for the series?
Look at what happened to Warcraft after WoW

What could a MMO possibly add anyway? We already have online battles. Mostly I can think of is item trading and possibly interacting with other trainers on the overworld.
Maybe they could do something like forming guilds or teams, but I don't see what good that would do outside of socialization ingame.
There could be item trading I suppose, but then again that's something they should add ingame.

Why are (most) bird pokemon so boring?
You're forced to have one for HM Fly, and they're usually only useful during the first half of the game because bugs and grass.

I like collecting things and learing things.
Pokémon was the perfect and good game for that.

I was given a Pokemon Ruby cartridge and a Game Boy Advance when I was 7 as a Christmas gift from my grandmother.
I was never the outgoing kind of kid so I immersed myself a lot into the game at first, but for some reason, the cartridge started failing to run the game and I would never make it beyond Route 118 to Route 119.
When I grew older, arround 16 or so, I found out about emulators and that you could play Pokemon on them.
I played Ruby again and finally managed to go beyond Route 118 and explored Hoenn's east coast.
I would eventually hit a dead end again, in Sootopolis, when I couldn't figure out where to go. I stopped playing again.
Some months later, by chance I found out about walktroughs and read that about the underwater cave you had to go in order to unlock the doors at Sootopolis' Gym.
That's how I got into Pokemon.
After that I downloaded all Pokemon titles and played most of them on emulators.

It is a nostalgic feeling that revives childhood memories in the back of my head. A tangerine coloured, strawberry smelling, chocolate tasting kind of feel. Besides, it feels like it's a magic world of itself.
Is it still possible? I was reading somewhere you can do it but only for some zelda game.

That said, I did have Mega Kick on it up until getting HM02. It was unreliable & never really saw use after the first hour or so of hype for it wore off
