I am calling on the anons of /vp/ for a VERY SPECIAL PROJECT!
YOU, yes YOU, will make Pokemon Showdown teams for ME, after which I will battle with said teams on my YouTube channel! (which has 7 subs but who fucking cares)
I think it'll be fun, and here's how it's going to work:
1. Post a Pastebin of ONE Pokemon's data (in Showdown format)
2. Post said Pokemon on this thread!
3. At the end of the voting period (which I will determine based on how many votes), I will post a Strawpoll for each team member.

Wow anon, It's great that you think Gen 3 is great, I like it myself, however I must say that my favourite generation of Pokemon is definitely Gen 4.
I sure hope others will join in and we can have a civilised discussion on the various generations of Pokemon and what we enjoyed about them, right OP?

If you could add new attacks/abilities/weather to the game what would they be?
A move that sets up a strange dimension that reverses type effectiveness, so like an inverse battle. The only Pokemon that would get it are Solrock and Lunatone, possibly Beeheyem.

Thunderstorm and Meteor Shower weather conditions.

I was wondering if this bothered anyone else..?
I quit playing the pokemon games because I am sick of the gap between shit-mons and uber-mons.
Has their been any news of Game-Freak revising the power-levels of the monsters to make them more power equivalent?
I think that there are some really cool mons. However, the disparity is sometimes the difference between taking a squirt-gun to take on a machine gun nest.
Any ideas on how this could be done?

While I will admit that some mons are simply designed too strongly, you always need weak x or shitter x. This allows for there to be a bottom line and way to form balance around your game. I know it's kinda unrelated but go listen to Ben Brodes reasoning video for why hearthstone needs shit cards.
Basically it boils down to similar reasons and that's why you always see weak tiers and strong tiers and in between in competitive games.
It never bothered me. Some Pokemon are supposed to be shit.
