I don't know about you anon, but I was much happier when I was too young to care about romance, and my friends didn't outgrow me until adulthood started calling. I was waaaay happier as a kid.

Ash is physically 20 but he's in a coma, remember? HIs residual self image is that of a 10 year old so of course he's going to stay 10 in his dream state. His mind makes it real.
