You know what that means? SKY BATTLES ARE GONE! NOW (most) FLYING/FLOATING POKÉMON WON'T HAVE A RETARDED MODEL LIKE IN THE PREVIOUS GENERATION!
Actually, some fliers (mostly pre-evolved forms) were standing in their animations (see: Pidgey, Murkrow, Gengar) and thus ineligible for Sky Battles despite otherwise meeting the requirements. We'll have to see its final evolution (and other flying-types, just to be sure) to be certain that Sky Battles are gone and the animations fixed.
I'm hopeful, but it's not a sure bet anyway.

I made an idea, what Rowlet looks like barn owl, in the second stage more like eagle-owl with big "bowtie" leaf. Maybe it possible in the future the similar design of this second evolution.

Gen 5 = Historical themed starters
Gen 6 = RPG themed starters
Gen 7 = Entertainment themed or circus themed
Popplio = seal at a circus.
Litten = Burlesque dancer or circus lion.
Rowlett = the Ring Master or a 1900 slapstick caricature (bowtie, fake eyes, fake nose)

Check out the names at the top of the screen, There are 4 of them and 8 people, All 8 of them are silhouettes. E4 names confirmed? You can see that the silhouettes have different poses.

The Japanese names for the starters are confirmed to be those from the leaked trademarks. It's probably totally safe to assume the other three are for our new legendary trio as well.

Is it just me or does this region seem kind of small?
It really does, looks like it has a total of 3-4 actual towns/cities, a northern route that leads to a little lagoon and island. Two little house areas, which one is probably the starting location, a Volcano and Beach, and some islands, and the little plateau area near the lagoon and northern cave.
It seems stupidly small honestly. Are we gonna get like 2-3 Gyms just in the City alone?
