It's not like the beginning of the game is remotely difficult if you aren't a scrub. Unless you need the gravelord sword to progress to the point that you can get the drake sword, which sounds about right for scrublords.

I have played those and tbh Ninja Gaiden 2 is my favorite out of them all. It's ridiculously fun and satisfying. And NG black is awesome too.

Fighting the enemy ninjas was brilliant, they got more aggressive even when they lose a limb, game takes a nosedive later on when it's 90% fiend monsters as enemies.
The werewolves are annoying as hell when doing a dragon sword only run.
