How do you get into the CoD state of mind? Most other FPSs give you ways to approach and escape an encounter. I played this for 2 hours in the morning, and it feels like once you're spotted, you're dead.

I think it'll probably be like a 7/10. It'll be fun, but shallow and probably have some glaring flaws. I'll likely wait until the $20 GOTY edition with all the DLC gets released and enjoy it then.

I finally got Witcher 3, been playing it for 20 hours and am pretty disillusioned by it. Can someone explain to me why is this game /v/ approved?

Core gameplay is simply put atrocious. How did this game get so popular? Witcher 1 shits on this single player MMO (DA:I style) with no effort whatsoever, its obvious completely different people worked on these games. Is it because main quest's writing and charaters are very good? Is it waifuism? These are the only two reasons I can think of as to why this game was so positievely recepted.

Can somebody explain where this came from? Is /v/ just too underaged to have played Baldur's Gate 2 or something? Even one of the best written games, Planescape Torment, has romances. It was even handled quite decently with Alpha Protocol. I mean seriously, does /v/ have a problem with the way The Witcher handles romance?
If the first two Fallout games (my two favorite WRPGs) had romances, would they better games for it? Maybe, maybe not, but considering the quality of both games writing, it wouldn't have hurt.
