Just play the game, and look at youtube videos and stuff. You'll never find a community that doesn't have its pricks.

how about asking your questions here in this thread? Which character are you using?
Look for a local tournament scene or watch youtube tutorials on characters you're interested in.
Otherwise, keep playing and losing until you start to develop fundamentals and win.
That's how most things in life that require skill go.
Keep trying until you can understand the basics and the rest will come to you eventually.
This is currently 80% off on Steam.
I enjoyed it thoroughly and it may be one of the best single-A (or double-A, depending on how you look at it) game of the year.
So I am going to advise you buy it.

It is a western SRPG. And I mean SRPG in the most hardcore sense. This game will beat your ass.
That being said, I liked it because every time you fail and fuck up, it's entirely your own fault. Even the most far-fetched extra objective can easily be achieved with almost all combinations of character builds if you're willing to adjust.
It has a very nice character-customization system, with a lot of depth to it, and plenty of characters to customize. It also did away with the major problem of the first game (which before you ask, no you don't have to play), like the incredibly high chance to miss an attack.
The review are mixed because it had Bethesda-tier bugs on release and it appeals to an incredibly niche audience. People who like hard and autism-like deep customization.
They have patched it to hell and back and I didn't find a single bug in my 38 hours thus far so most of it is fixed.
I also really liked the story, but that's subjective as all hell.

really poor map designs, some maps are too vertical, so actually controlling an area is impossible, and half your team sits on the tallest roof with snipers
servers arn't region lockable, for non-US players this is a big deal
the points are too bonus based, I can shoot down a chopper that has made 50 kills and get two hundred points, or almost kill one guy and get a pile of random points
the mortar STILL doesn't work
resupplying explosives is a nightmare
LMG's don't work as LMG's, and bipods still don't work reliably

the USAS is no longer a thing
sure the fall patch fixed a lot of things, but many were things that should have been right from day one

Give a solid reason for nearly half of last gen's install base (40 million people) to be excited for an industry that relies on the same old games, mediocre games, remasters & indies to stay relevant?
This gen, I feel, will be smaller than the previous (by half). In 2018 you start hearing from Sony that it will be remastering Uncharted 4 in 60 fps 1440p for the PS5 as its launch title.

The real truth is that Nintendo as a home console company is dying. Their niche is found in games that really aren't all that demanding. Plus, the 3DS sells like hotcakes. Their future going forward is going to be in handhelds, mobile, and "portable" or "on-the-go" gaming.
I expect NX to be an extension of the 3DS, their phone games, or both. Like some all-inclusive play Mario 3D LandWorldPlace anywhere type of shit.

So you all seem to be having a terrific time with "Fallout 4" and I find that hilarious. Because you could be having an even better time withe a game that came out 15 years ago: Majora's Mask. Not only can you do everything that you can do in Fallout 4 EVEN BETTER, but you can wear transformation masks as well. How could a reasonably intelligent person possibly delude themselves to such a level of Fallout fanboyism?
The Zelda fanbase is bad enough OP, don't make it worse. I agree MM is the better game of the two, and FO4 is a mess of technical problems and design problems, but no use starting shit and making the board worse than what it already is by clear shitposting.

DKC2 is the fantastic follow up to DKC that fixed up many of the glaring flaws, added a fan favorite character in Dixie Kong with unique controls, introduced crazy atmospheric environments that went perfectly with a subdued, David Wise composed soundtrack many consider the best of it's era if not ever. The game did a wonderful job of ihiding it's secrets in intuitive places and was on of the first big steps in the collect-a-thon direction platformers would take. It struck a perfect balance of gimmick levels to break up the run n jump action.
DKC:TF is the follow up to DKC Returns that allows you to drop the waggle and brought back David Wise to make another soundtrack that contends for GOAT status. The game was originally shat on at announcement for Retro being "wasted" on a DKC sequel, but when judged on it's own merits is right up there with any 2D platformer, especially those in the post New Super Mario Bros world. Adding playable Cranky Kong, online leaderboards with replays, and a hard mode to a game that already is pretty fucking hard bumps up the games replayability.
DKCR and DKCTF are the best 2D Platformers of all time in my opinion, with the original trilogy only a little bit behind it along with Yoshi's Island
