So /v/, what was the best GTA game and why was it San Andreas?
It was SA because it has perhaps THE greatest open-world map in a game, ever.
Vice City because it wasn't nigger themed and had GOAT new wave and rock.

Oh fuck off with your nostalgiafag shit. The most recent GTA is always the best, because GTA's most important driver is technological advancement

i never touchjed that shit. my autism is not that strong

To be quite honest with you, anon, I keep leaving the game on when I go to work and fall asleep.
Do you have a preferred hair color when it comes to certain archetypes?Semen demons need to be blonde.
Pure maidens should have black hair
>>319867119
So that they look like pure shit? Black is terrible.
No, because I can't stand monotony and repetitiveness. People find it hard to guess the kind of characters I like because I tend to be inconsistent, and with good reason. If I kept liking the same thing, including preferred hair color, I'd go crazy from going stale.

thanks man
funny enough, I didn't really get into FPS stuff until like Quake 3 (except for a Descent 2 demo I had as a kid). I got into it DOOM 1/2 relatively recently.
Is this version the best one to play? Or should I get the original PS1 version instead?
Also Ivalice thread
I played it recently. The translation is very good, don't listen to the old fucks. Not much difference in graphics, tho. AND the port has this fucking stupid aspect ratio that's just sliiightly flattened. It's a little annoying, but in general, it's a solid port.
>>319866728
Yes, the PSP version is great. Play it on emulator, though, the game gets too laggy on a real PSP.
And for the problem >>319867320 said. There was a patch going around that fixed the aspect ratio, but I can't find it.
>>319867564
>the game gets too laggy on a real PSP
Played through it on my 2000 a couple of months ago, didn't really notice any slowdowns.
I really miss this game.
>>319866560
watching one punch man had got me interested in a superhero mmo again, considering that OPM is essentially an anime adaptation of city of heroes
what was up with the last expansion that they put out? i never got around to playing it and now its all dead. Was it any good?
>>319866968
idk, I was a little noob back then i actually dont remember too much. I was young enough to assume that developers made games 100% balanced.
>>319866968
Yes. It was an alternate universe where the heroes became a league of villains and control the world in this 1984 authoritarian heropunk fashion.
It allowed you to make all classes on both sides (except epic ones), and allowed you to side switch or even be allowed in both the hero and villain areas as a sort of grey alignment Vigilante.
>What's that, you want to progress in that game you spent 60$ on?
>Too bad, here's a literally impossible boss to stop you in your path forever
Thank god I got a refund for this shit

Where were you when pokemon died?

lmao cockring what next a vibrator?
In highschool.
Pokemon died after gen 2, when gamefreak stopped giving a fuck and just rehashed the fuck out of everything.
>>319866279
anything after the gba games is trash
So I know we've had a few JRPG threads the past few days, but most have been good.
I just wanted to ask, what are some simplistic JRPGS on DS/3DS? I'm really into Dragon Quest and have played most of them (waiting for VII and VIII localization) I've also played Radiant Historia. I recently bought FF 3 but kinda regretting it as I've been told it's a bad game.
So any recommendations on handheld? Also general JRPG discussion thread.
bravely default for 3ds is a throwback to the final fantasy V era of jrpgs which is really nice.
the pokemon games also kind of apply.
>>319866140
Massive fan of Pokemon, were the only turn based style games I used to play until a few years ago when I got into DQ on a whim, I think it's why I like the simplicity.
I also love the medieval swords and magic settings for these games, which is why FF puts me off so much.
puts you off? all the final fantasies, well, pre-6/7, are set in medieval european settings. coastal towns, mountain hamlets, lots of norse/roman mythology and monsters. classes like bards, knights, priests etc
This game isn't even half bad.
Why did people shit on it so much?
>>319865914
Its ok, has a bad rep for being a Dark Souls 'rip off' but it's really no more a rip off than most modern third person shooters are rip offs of Resident Evil 4.
idk but I would like it more if the environments were more varied
But it's nice
>>319865914
Soulsfags are memesters and were butthurt someone made a game like Souls that had better visuals and wasn't console exclusive.
> start third year project that lasts full year and might extend to fourth year final college project
> decide we want to make a game where players program bots and bots play MMO
> three months later we want to get some external opinions
So, what does /v/ think about the idea of a MMO that is not directly played by players?
pic related.
>>319865739
Wouldn't it get a bit boring after a while?
It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure the average causal could get engrossed in it
An interesting idea with very little marketing potential. Sounds like a college project to me.
Please do it. This is the time to make those weird games nobody will pay you to make.
>>319865848
That's one of our main fears, The other one being the difficulty of programming bots itself.
The core loop is kind of designed to avoid this by using crafting / upgrading / territorial control / creating custom skills / theorycrafting....
