Don't fight any unnecessary battles. Grinding will fuck you up in this game.
As far as I know that's the only reason it ever becomes unplayable.

Not in the PC version, you almost always grow faster than the enemies there and it's almost impossible to fuck your build. Unless you're grinding only low level enemies that don't make you gain stats. It's just that with grinding the characters you find later in the game become almost useless despite them having cool abilities.

I believe the PC version had this fixed, but you still need to control how your troops progress.

ehh all in all, Raven Shield was ten times better in every regard, S4 is notorious for being babbys (You) first "tactical" game. Most people played it for the tazing/paintballing meme gimmick anyway.

Not yet. Even without characters, 4.0 could have been the perfect place to leave it. Right now you can tell the game is in an unfinished state simply because so many stages have no purpose being alone without an alt. FoD's alt should be Halberd and since we never got HD Kongo Jungle, it should be the alt to Jungle Japes. That would open up 2 more Brawl stages we never got back and THEN it could be viewed as finished.

tip that i foundout after 200h+ctl + space is fast forward on the map
backspace is a map and easyer commands in battle
