Funnily enough, that was the main reason Psygnosis trusted DMA Design to go with the tiny sprites for the Lemmings. They were originally going to be 16x16 sprites but one of the designers thought they could convey more with less.

This is my first time here and I wanted to ask you guys about Solitaire strategies. What do you think is the best strategy? Do you think Solitaire will ever have a sequel? Minesweeper or Solitaire?
I used to like Solitaire until I learned something like 10% of games are unwinnable from the deal.
