Just bought legacy of kain: soul reaver. About 2 hours into it, I like the setting but so far it's been a bit frustrating with the wonky controls and really short range attacks. Do they start adding a lot more mechanics to the game or is this really the core experience? Because I don't think I can handle too much more of this unless some game changers come along

I hear alot of people praise Witcher 3, but are the first two good? I'm thinking of getting and playing the whole trilogy while it's on sale.

The fan-base is quite divided.
There are those who are fans of the original NOVELS, and either like or dislike the games.
Then there's those, who've played all the games as they came out, and those who only got to try the series with the 2nd or even the 3rd game.
Personally, I started with TW1 couple years ago, and I fucking loved it. It's a very comfy and open-ish WRPG with great atmosphere and lot to do. It's also the only PROPER PC exclusive, and plays like so too. It is still not available on consoles, and from my experience, most console-kids just cannot handle the first game anyway.
The sequels were consolized and action-ized, and I disliked them quite a bit, especially TW2. The 3rd game was again a step backwards to 1st game's direction, and thus more enjoyable, but the console-roots are still visible IMO.
I'd recommend playing them all, and preferably multiple times. I'd suggest giving the books a shot too.

Microsoft forcing their greatest developer to make three games in a row for this shit instead of making great action adventure games
It wasn't as cool as they said it was. If it actually worked the way it was advertised it could be cool but it doesn't. Yet, even if it was the best thing ever it still probably would have failed because game makers would have to do extra work to take advantage of it and couldn't just crap out the same game for ps4, xbone and pc with minimal effort.
It costs $100 and doesn't work well for it's intended purpose.
They should have never tried to push it and left it as an accessory for people who like Just Dance and fitness or party games like that

Is Rocksmith any good?
I was given an electric guitar and have no clue how to play.
Lessons here are like $100 a month, so I figured I might give Rocksmith 2014 a try since I just want to learn the basics.
How effective is it?
