Always here mixed feelings about this game. Should I play this game to decide myself or is it really that bad?

It used to be good when it came out. Now it's just full of autists that need everything doing their way. They won't let you in a raid unless you have certain armour and guns and if you stray from the path once your kicked.
If that sounds like fun then get it, taken king is cheap atm.

I got the DLC collection thing that comes with the core game and all the DLC for 30 bucks.
I got to 40 and it's fun enough, just be ready to grind because that's pretty much the whole game.
Also the DLC story is beyond better than the vanilla, just ignore the vanilla 2bh
How fast do the limited editions of games in this series usually sell out? I figure there's probably a dedicated thousand or so of buyfags that would snatch them all up in the west.

I'm having a shit time with this game on Hard /v/. I play as Austria and try to slowly built my infrastructure while on the defense from Napoleon and Kingdom of Italy, but the god damn Ottomans keep harassing my Eastern regions. Russia barely helps at all, Prussia isn't even in war with France so they are a pretty bad meat shield, and the French cavalry massacres my men easily. it's ridiculous. Tips /v/?

I can't remember the tech tree of Napoleon. But rush Fire By Rank (or Rank Fire) and always switch to Square when being charged. You can still shoot in a square. Use your cav to then hunt their artillery.
Austria doesn't really have any exceptional units, their air pressure guns are OK for sniping at the flanks, but they're not as good as Swiss Guard (prob best in game) or Cold Stream Guard (not bad).
All I can remember is that Russia gets the biggest cannons.

Havent play that. But I played other Napoleonic games and Austria is always fucked in these. Maybe first start as an easier country and learn this way. Like Prussia.

I gotta say the list pretty much called me out. I am 22 year old Gerhman: an old fucker at heart with an appreciation for mystery and looking cool. People hate reading, doing their own research and spending more than 5 seconds to determine a value of a product. We just need one simple number to tell us everything.
Of course it's completely fallacious and doesn't represent the real value at all, let alone any degree of complexity and nuances of the product.
I call it the twitter syndrome.
Why do people act like this series is good?
Shit, there are tons of other RPG series better than this.
Because it was one of the first accessible JRPGs introduced to mainstream gamers and Dragon Quest didn't really take off here.

What is it about MMORPGS that are so hard to make well nowadays?
The last MMORPG I can remember enjoying was WoW about 8 years ago, along with Runescape. Maybe it was because I had real friends to play them with?
I bought GW2 about two years ago and played it for about 3 months, maxing out my character in that time but throughout all of it it just wasn't fun. Mechanically and gameplay wise the game was more advanced that that of WoW or Runescape albeit more shallow, but it just couldn't capture my attention
Not to mention the fact that nobody really socialized in that game outside of ERP reasons.
That brings me to another point, why don't people socialize in MMO's anymore? Not that I've played them recently but that seems to be the general consensus with most people I've talked about the subject to, is it that people nowadays don't like to or is it more so that the games themselves don't require it as much?
I guess this could pass as a thinly veiled recommendation thread which I suppose it is~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

People played Runescape because the community was great even though the game was just clicking on trees until they fall over.
People played WoW because friends and guilds. Even though the gameplay was just clicking on mobs and pushing 123 and sometimes 4.
All modern MMO's have been trying to improve the gameplay/story.
No one ever played WoW/RS for the gameplay or story.
