I like the atmosphere the game creates, it's got a great aesthetic and the music fits amazingly well
I have a few gripes here and there but overall, this interactive story was a great experience and worth the 20€ I spent on it

Monster Hunter 4 is currently on sale in EU Nintendo eShop and I would like to ask you - is it worth buying?
The only game I have on 3DS is Etrian Odyssey IV, since games are so damn expensive here and eShop rarely get discounts (except some indie games and SMT). I played Monster Hunter on PSP before and disliked controls, but when I played simplified version in forms of Gods Eaters, it was kinda fun.
Do you think it would be good idea to buy MH4 for 3DS? I would still need to pay more for pre-paid cards and I dont have credit card.

I played the demo, couldnt find weapon I would like - "longsword" is actually a spear, sword and shield deals no damage, everything else is slow variations of hammers/axes/2h swords.
I really enjoy Monster Hunter 4, it's my first entry to the Monster Hunter series.
I feel that it's worth full price but as it's half off on the e-shop that's really good.
Just make sure you have the dual stick add on or own a new 3ds otherwise it's unplayable.

It's not. You can buy consumables with in-game credits cheaply. As for premium vehicles, they tend to be decent but very rarely better than the ones you unlock in the tech trees.
All premium game time does is give you 50% more exp and credits which just speeds up the grind for new vehicles.
So... What can Ubisoft do to save this franchise from the inevitable death that it's facing? Or from the bad fame it already has? What can they do to make it feel fresh and different again?
IMO they should add a fully fledged first person perspective mode, very similarly how GTAV did it, but I'm not sure this would be enough to make people put faith in the game again.

use that time to develop an engine that doesn't run so fucking terribly
use that time to fire your writing staff and hire new ones that do more than insert familiar historical figures and ones that will stop making the antagonists shit all over the protagonists philosophically
focus on mechanics that actually make sense and compliment gameplay rather than shoehorning in terrible ideas just to say you added something
find ways to make the open world actually matter rather than just being space to move through in a chore simulator.
