Can we all agree this game ruined the series? Its gameplay and atmosphere was on point, but it completely killed and sophistication the story line might have had.

And every single game after that was kinda shitty. The only game thats on par with the story 1 and 2 had was downpour, and while were on that subject, the only thing that made downpour bad was its lack of enemy variety and goofy combat (which every single silent hill has anyways).
Why did they decide to turn the series into shit after 2?

Tank controls can fuck right off. Those only existed because a control scheme for both movement and camera simultaneously hadn't been invented yet for a 3rd person perspective. Considering KB+M has been a PC standard since 1994 and console controllers have had dpad+thumbstick or 2 thumbsticks such a design is outdated.

Generally when those things depict uncomfortable circumstances (these days, at least), it's done in some sort of serious, critical manner.

-StaFox Zero will be released around that time as well, and Star Wolf is in it, so some cross-promotion
-popular Brawl character and highly wanted, same as Lucas, Roy, and Mewtwo
-Sakurai's team can make brand-new characters with extensive complex styles and gimmicks in four months, it would be very quick and easy to port Wolf's data over, slap an updated model on it, and call it a day, same as they did with Lucas
-would give us an even number of DLC characters, with 2 Melee veterans, 2 Brawl veterans, and 4 newcomers
