Then maybe there would be a reason for health potions/milk/etc. to actually exist in Zelda games.
Why RPG Maker games (and pretty much most retro-style rpg) lack the graphics and animation quality of god-tier SNES games like Chrono Trigger and Terranigma?
Because RPG Maker is a general toolset for beginner and very low level game "developers", while Chrono Trigger was made by one of the most renowned devs in the industry.

There are plenty of great RPG Maker games with custom art assets and animations, they're in the minority because there are so many talent less hacks but they exist and there are plenty.

At most, the indie devs make sprites for walk left and right, up, and down.
Maybe have a sprite where they hold their hand out.
Making enough sprites for an animation is lots of work, especially for multiple characters.

just beat the game, despite everything the final battle was very epic , the story is average and some wtf moments but other than that is not bad but not great either
some end game spoiler read at you own risktheres a "return to the beginning of the story" after finishing chapter 4, making all sidequest available again to get all the job you couldn't get in the first 4 chapters, and having to rebattle some boses but in pairs this time, but the main story continues from therepic related is protag lost brother who returns as evil, but is nothing more than a puppet of the fairy that goes with him, he turns to the good side after beating him, but short after that sacrifies himself to destroy a main story bossonly the fairy and the god she serves are the real evil ones (the god is the final boss), yews brother and all his followers (story boses) turn to the good side after beig re-defeated after chapter 4[/spolier]they also cleary hinted a third game after the creditsmangonlia and yew got married and tiz and agnes got married too

I think the game is inherently flawed in a lot of its facets. It fails to understand what makes action platformers good, despite inti creates having made MegaMan ZX.
It has an obnoxious scoring system which requires perfection, and random revivals which don't even let you die and restart when you fail your perfect run.
It features a shitty crafting system where you grind stages for materials and gain some powers which should have been integrated into the game's progression rather than the crafting system.
All the alternate weapons are fucking bullshit, and you have to go to such lengths to switch weapons that it's just not worth it.
Your basic shot does so little damage, and the lightning orb attack is not satisfying to use. It forces you to stop going fast. There's no melee option, so you just have to set up your DoT and sit around for a while.
Being hit overly punishes you, because it reduces all aspects of your movement and damage while taking away your score multiplier. It doesn't leave you in a neutral, if damaged, state. It leaves you in a helpless state and serves to make you feel like your character is a damn wimp.
The second game has special moves. One of them is dual drills. I'm hyped.

It tells you which weapons a character is good with in their status screen with a letter rank.

Whatever you think will be useful. granted since healing magic is based on RES so unless you have a good RES stat on your Characters, its not really worth it.

Well anything could be useful. Or nothing, which is what I'm leaning torwards.
I assume there's not point getting other weapon arts, since they rely on the skill your have with said weapon. Magic might be useful, given all characters have good aptitudes in all stats, but I guess going hybrid would be a waste.
