Things you need to accept to enjoy the game:
>handling and realism
This isn't an ultra real Sim. Police act like potatoes, some cars have too many gears, the handling isn't perfect but you can pick it up.
That being said if you want a realistic cop game or arcadey racing game this isn't for you either.
>cut scenes
Death by cutscenes, but if you can have fun with it then it's not a problem. If not throw on some music or a podcast as you don't really need them.
>tuning
This is where the game is pretty legit. Sure people will shit on it for no bbs wheels or whatever, but there's a ton of tuning options. Go wild tuning cars.
>how I'm approaching it
I played all the old nfs games but I'm now a pc mustard. I know the handling is jank compared to Iracing but this is about the tuning. I'm just grinding out money, which is easy to come by as the economy isn't fucked like gta. When I have enough I tune a car I'd love to tune irl.
So yeah fuckbois here will shit on it for story and "ea is worse than Hitler" but it's a bunch of fun if you approach it right. If you want a realistic car game, or story don't get it.
If you're into tuning it's definitely worth buying

It's a good game.
Good game, but it's a niche genre that you must enjoy. That is fucking about with sandbox and grinding.
If you like HM, you'll put at least 40 hours into it.
Ignore the shit posting. It's nothing new or revolutionary. It's a breddy good game.
I quit after the first year. A certain charm is missing that I can't put my finger on, but I still put 40+ hours into it.

They released a new patch for Diablo 2 last week.

Literally nothing other than fixing the broken D3D renderer, adding Win10 and MacOS support.
The game still runs at 800x600 resolution max and is still locked at 25 FPS.

>It's a gameplay mechanic with a lot of consequences in game relating to tactics and equipment/weapons, it's far more interesting than muh quantity of weapons/customization!
It's great because it's an almost perfect realization of a breach/defend concept, there's no imbalance between attackers and defenders, there's almost no shit in the game that gets in the way of that.
Was it a bad game design?
An option to wait is rubbed in your face, obviously something is going to happen.
