You're used to seeing huge leaps of graphical quality, because i'm going to assume you're not an underage b& and grew up with things like the Nintendo 64's polygon count and watched it explode from there.
There is an upper limit, and we're already pretty close. You can't make a sphere more spherical. Well technically you can when we're talking about triangles, but will it matter?
