Currently playing through the original Spyro. Damn these games aged well, even the graphics remain appealing.
Planning to play some PS2 JRPGs I missed next, mostly the Xenosaga series, feel free to suggest some JRPG gems if you know of any.
My friends and I are pretty casual when it comes to fighting games, but I have an urge to try out this game. Not to interested in playing online because I'll just get destroyed, but as a local game how is this? Is this game hard to get into mechanic wise?

Easily the hardest fighting game to get into that's still played. If it's just to fuck around with your friends, it's easy enough to play and have fun with. but anything higher than that and it's a damn sheer cliff.
It's fun to learn it.
Feels good to get better, make awesome combos and build a team that you love and works together.

I suppose it would be the gameplay, despite it's absurdly easy difficulty. Which characters in particular? I skipped the entire story since the few cutscenes that I watched in the beginning gave me the impression that the story would be some sort of typical anime bullshit (my opinion was further reinforced by the unskippablr cutscenes).
