Should I /v/? I have windows 7 and love it, but I'm about to upgrade my cpu and video card for the newer games coming out and thought a new OS would be ok.

And no, they don't. In fact, they tend to run WORSE, some not at all.
W10 is all around shit, and a botnet on top.
Avoid it at all costs, remove the 8GB worth of files that are already installed on your computer, look up the CMD that removes all W10 and telemetry-related updates, disable automatic updates for good, and enjoy your superior operating system all the way to mid 2020s.
After that, start dual-booting a Linux distro of some sort, and run games using Vulkan.

Just to avoid misunderstanding, excessive saving in itself is not savescumming, you have to exploit it in a way that was not intended.
Examples include:
>saving mid-combat
>reloading until the gods of RNG smile on you instead of trying out different strategies
>reloading if you are not satisfied with the consequence of a choice
>reloading to save on consumables such as lockpicks
And so on.

I discovered savescumming during the Nyx Avatar fight
I was incredibly pumped and I liked it too fucking much to die, so I started saving knowing that if I'll have to repeat the whole fight I'll start to get bored
Fortunately I didn't have to load any saves so I don't think it counts
AlsoI always savescum Fire Emblem arenas until all my characters are maxed

OK /v/ here's the thing.
I was a pc gamer for a long time before I switched to ps3 then ps4 because of lack of money from having to upgrade the fucking pc everytime.
Last I ever had a pc was when I played tf2 and really miss that game. U also played tf classic. The stopped pc right around the time when they gave the sniper a bow and arrow update. I remember counter strike 1.6 too.
Lonf story short, after like 8 years, I got pc again. I still love my ps4 to death and will play games on it, I just want to get into the PC scene to play games like civilization, tf2 which I miss
Some questions
1. How much would it cost to build a pc that runs smooth on modern games? Like ultra high settings or some shit.
2. How often should I update the graphics card and stuff now days?
3. Amd or Intel (Intel was the shit back in my day)
4. What did I miss from tf2 ever since it came out? All I remember is that map with the hot air balloon, and the sniper getting the bow and arrow update
5. Do people still play cs 1.6 zombies? Does GO have zombies?
6. Any other advice would help. Looking to build something.
