Have you ever had an idea for a game only to discover something similar has already been used in the past or future?
I'm very hesitant to work on a setting of my own game in fear it'll be rejected and compared to LISA: The Painful as some sort of copycat. It isn't. I just want to focus on the funny antics of grown ass men really and is more inspired by gachimuchi in what is mostly a text-based adventure, yet I feel that even that will spark fanboys into a riot despite that. This is probably an irrational thought.

I once had an idea for a character's appearance that I'd been working on for years.
One day on /v/ I saw an image of a vidya with almost my exact same character.
I'd never played it or even seen it in my entire life, couldn't fucking believe that what I envisioned was so similar.
Ever since then the thought that my ideas have already been done better loomed over me.

Is this fucking thing supposed to be scary? So far nothing has been scary in this, and the only enemies I encountered have been a big disco ball on leg that followed me making weird noises, and a fat guy with a disco ball in place of his head who kills you by chromatic aberration if you look at it. You've got to be kidding me.
The gaming journos told me this was going to be scary, but it isn't in the slightest. Fucking Bioshock was scarier than this and also had better graphics and was also more optimized.

Also I forgot to mention that playing as a nonchalant asshole main character is not really helping with immersion.
It focuses on existential horror, the enemies are kinda just placed around because they didn't want to make a litteral walking sim.

I found a patch to fix most crashes and to be able to play in 1080p, and I play with a pad so I guess that's okay
but man, qte sequences are not fun and driving is pretty bad

So I've finished and played both Dragon's Dogma and Dark arisen several years ago for PS3, and am Now thinking of selling them in favor of the new PC version because the comunity is fucking dead.
Question about the PC version.
I played offline with PS3, how does multiplayer work, can you actually hire people AS pawns, or is it just their avatar as an AI? Would I be able to get my friends to play with me?
Second: What are the mods for the game? I've done my fair share, I know how tedious the game is, so if theres an infinite ferrystone/stamina/high armor cheats, I'll take them. I don't even care anymore.

Clocktower 3 had pretty good murderers. Sure they were goofy but I think they had better ambushes and were more threatening than Haunting Ground's. Especially in NG+ when they were super fast.
