Crash 3 is the worst one in the original trilogy. Looking beyond how goofy and stupid it is compared to the previous games (both stylistically/tonally and graphic wise), it's a total mess. The levels are all too short and narrow. The game is much too easy. The unlock-able moveset is retarded. It has too many gimmick levels. The time trials are shit. It has too many questionable decisions. Overall, the game is very unpolished, it seems they spent all their effort into adding gimmicks and goofy shit.
As for 2, it's the best game in the series. It has flawless controls. I don't know what you man when you say it was stiff. Everything was so perfect. Crash 1 is also a good game, but in the case of that that game, the controls/jumping actually are stiff and delayed.

This is the most disappointing game I have ever played, because the potential behind the concept is huge. With these changes, it would have been the best game of all time

>redesign the equally hideous UI. The map and menus in particular look horrible, and have too much useless information cluttering the screen

If they had done this shit, this would have been the best game I ever played, but instead they shit out a cheap product and slapped microtransactions on it. I got it for dirt cheap and it's still beyond disappointing because it could have been so good

People have this perfect conception of a procedurally generated universe in their head but no game will ever succeed. All the time that goes into creating an infinite universe means there is less time spent on things to actually do in that universe.
It's a heavily misunderstood game. A colorful space sim where it's literally all about exploration. The nigh infinite size will keep things fresh and exciting for a long period of time. I can't wait for it.
