Wasn't the point to fix the wakeup and snowballing issues that SFIV had? This is FAR worse than Ultra when it comes to setplay and wakeups. So much so that the jump back exploit is basically mandatory if you want to survive at all

Quick rise was advertised to be the end of the vortex game, but it wasn't.
I really wanted to like this new game, but as of right now it's pretty shit.
So since this is my first game in this genre and I don't get much time to play games these days I'm still playing stellaris so I hope someone else out there isn't tired of the game. Honestly I just love space games in general so making a space empire is just fantastic for me, but a lot of people have said that paradox games start out bare bones and over a long time (and dlc) become great. for those more "experienced" with their policies how long are we talking? anyways stellaris thread
also for those that have played it a good bit, I was thinking of raising the core sector planet limit or something like that. I know the sectors are a part of the system but honestly I want to control it all myself. Is there a mod that makes the core planets +1 research continue to pop up eventually?

I'd give it about year or so to get what idea they were selling on release. Well there are mods available on steam and elsewhere to raise core planet count. Check /vg/ for the 4x general and don't interact with the inhabitants.

I started this game up and started playing, and honestly it kinda sucked. The controls are terrible, and everything is super dark. What is the appeal of this game? Will I eventually enjoy it? I was playing on expert, is that going to be insanely difficult for someone who sucks at stealth games?

Obviously gotta git guud, but what I meant wasis expert a good level of difficulty for someone new to the stealth genre? I like challenging myself, but there is a point where the difficulty is unreasonable and it may be better to opt for hard or even normal depending on the game. What difficulty would you reccomend?

It's like an underage filter, they parents just bought them a PS4 because all their friend got one but they like zelda games so nintendo should go third party so they can play them since they can't afford a nintendo console.
If Nintendo caves so do all of their franchises, no way in hell they'll sell them off regardless of the money offered, they'll pull a Konami and just pachinko it up.
We shouldn't wish for Nintendo to fail for that very reason, they aren't a threat to anybody and we still get some of their classic franchises.
