Gank squads and almost every single enemy having large combos that are rarely interruptible makes this game less enjoyable than it would be otherwise. It is still a fun game though.

Pretty much agree with OP.
It's not "hard", just a bit tedious.
In DaS1 it's much easier to run up to any and every enemy and absolutely fuck them.
3 forces you to kite some enemies and discourages you from relying on poise/HP to absorb their attacks to get some free hits. You have to be careful in avoiding the combos.
This is sort of subjective but I vastly prefer 1's approach. I find myself getting annoyed with 3's enemies rather than as legitimate challenges that are satisfying to overcome.

i'm about level 100, and i more or less never get summoned for blue spirit stuff anymore. did i level up too fast?
biggest problem for me is the NPC quests being too hard to follow, especially compared to DaS1 and BB

God damn this game is good. It's basically Dark Souls 2, but without the bad parts. (soul memory and health consumables)

Combat is crap. It's yolo-better-dodge-or-die, because there's no armor and shields that let you take hits. Then all the bosses are basically damage sponges, so it makes it a chore. Then the art style is terrible. Everything is too dark and you can barely make out what you're seeing, unless you turn the brightness up high enough to wash out what colors there are and make it look like shit. Playstation 4 exclusive means shit resolution and framerate as well. And finally, I think the setting is uninteresting, but that's just me being not into gothic steampunk-y stuff, and barely worth mentioning
