I've never really understood what makes this line so iconic. Yeah it's pretty hilarious, but I don't really get why. That goes for a lot of SotN's voice acting. Aside from Richter and maybe Maria, I don't think it's bad at all.

It's not bad, it's a genuine historical quote. It just feels hilariously out of place with voice actor delivery and the fact that you're not one minute into the game and you're having a theological debate with a boss whose only interactions you've had in previous games are to jump over his fireballs and whip him in the head.
