How come Sega hasn't thought of doing an open world Sonic game yet? In my opinion, I think a freeroaming environment would be absolutely perfect for a game focused so much on traversal and speed.
Grassy plains, rugged mountains, bustling cities, winding hideways; these would all be amazing places to explore while running at insane speeds.
Add some missions, some side activities (time trials being the obvious ones), maybe even some flying fortresses that work like Far Cry outposts, and bada-bing! You got yourself the groundwork for an open world Sonic game!
What do you guys think?

Just started playing today after realizing it was in my backlog and I had no excuse for wanting to play a 4X
I want to say that the consensus on the amplitude forums are the Drakken being the best. Personally I've found myself with the most success with Broken Lords.
And nobody I've played uses Ardent Mages so ... hell if I know with regards to them.

Hard to say. All could be called best, but for a beginner the best wouldIMOWild Walkers, because those are the most normale, Broken Lords, because those are really strong if you just concentrate on getting Dust and Vaulters, because those are in general strong if you know how holy ressources work.

I never owned a ps2 in its prime and I want to get a used one now. At my local gamestore there's a used slim version that's 45 dollars after tax. Is that a fair price for one? Also can someone post that picture with all those ps2 games divided off by genre, exclusive and what not?

That's an OK price for a slim. If you hunted around at garage sales or on craigslist you could probably find it much cheaper but if you want the convenience it's acceptable.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of portable console I should get. Which one has better games? But in reality I'm just trying to play some front mission 3. I'm looking at The vita the new 3ds XL and the gpd XD. I'm trying to see which one is the better fit for me because I can only afford one and what ever fist full of games I can buy used for whatever console fits me the best.
