Why didn't anyone ever do this? It's so fucking obvious. PA aren't fucking clever to suggest this, but no one was ever clever enough to do it? I don't get this. I rejected game ideas by game designers who planned something like this but couldn't make it work. This seems like the first thing you'd make for a Wii U.

We just had this thread like 3 times in a row, is this sonygger's desperate attempt to stay relevant with Bloodborne memes?
Planetside 2 just added a base construction mechanic with RTS-esque resource gathering meta.
Basically you can use these new vehicles to collect resources that spawn around in the wild, and deploy them using those resources to build up bases with walls, turrets, bunkers, and stuff like that. If you want your base to be a serious objective, you can build a HIVE generator which very slowly generates "victory points" that if left unchecked could allow your team to "lock down" and win the continent.
It's pretty fun in practice, building an FOB somewhere and keeping it operational with your team. Pardon my shilling.

Kind of changed my mind about Hideo being a hack. He knew he was going to be fired, he knew this would be his final MGS game, so he left it open ended and made a player avatar to make the story "ours"
