This games combat in a game world like Skyrim or the Witcher would be GOAT and impossible to top. The magic was excellent, ice attacks actually make enemies slip over, fire burns the environment. I even enjoyed the story line, yet reviewers were giving it 6/10 scores because it wasn't released by a big name publisher.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Shame the developers went full retard. No idea if they ever pulled their heads out their asses.

m&b combat is clunky as all fuck and very static (weapons don't break, although shields do, animations are completely static, the control scheme prevents actions from flowing into one another cleanly, etc.) The combat uses interesting mechanics which are fun to play with (directional hits and blocking, speed-based damage), but it doesn't play well.

I didn't have any and my machine could barely run it. There were loads of patches released for it anyway.

When I use my shiny supersword of the headcleaver +10, the monk's shitty wooden pole should split in fucking halves, not block my sword.
And no, it has no depth whatsoever, that's also the whole point of the combat system. It's very simple but still gives you control.

Human enemies don't rush you like that, the orcs in the game are retarded and easy to kill with environmental traps but are brutes in actual combat. Taking on 4 like that with just swords will be quite difficult.
Exanima is pretty good combat wise, even if I am shit at It and It will never release.
