Are there any games with difficulty modes where the 'hard' mode changes the game mechanics? I don't mean changing the level geometry, enemy/item spawns or anything like that, I mean changing what the player (and enemies) can do and how the abilities work.

The Ys games usually give bosses new moves/modifies existing ones and changes enemy aggression based on the difficulty.
Is the steam version of Toukiden Kiwami any good?
It's basically identical to the console version. 1080p, 30FPS, controller needed. Beyond that, it's solid. No bugs or any noticable issues. It's a fun game if you want a timesink MH-lite.

The first two ones are not worth playing anymore because of how bad they have aged, NV is going to be fantastic if you like that kind of game, otherwise is going to be bland and boring as fuck

Is like the eternal problem of Obsidian games where their writing can be top notch is just that the gameplay becomes uninteresting quick leading to a lot of boring moments
It's boring for me because i just can't afford to explore the entirety of NV's world, i just feel like i have to sink so much time to explore it fully

Why does this still cost 175$? The Vita which is more powerful console cost 150 dollars. The old 3ds xl should at least be going for 90$-100$ dollars now.

Even Sonic has a better chance of turning it around than Nintendo.
So, now that we've all probably beaten Dark Souls 3 at least 10 times over by now, I think it's time we rank the games against each other and discuss which game is the overall best one. I think many of you will agree with me on in these particular cases.

As a side note, I really never got the massive hate towards DS2 besides the whole stupid downgrade shenanigans. The level design isn't as good, yes, but the gameplay is easily the best in the series and the story is still pretty damn good. It's a damn good Souls game.

dlc's from ds2 really brought it up a few points
DS2 is really the best game.
>Ran super smooth on pretty much any PC
>Best PvP, even though Poise is broken (still is in DS3)
>Unique spin on the Souls story, instead of just being Dark Souls 1 v2.0 (essentially what DS3 is)
>More varied enemy types (besides bosses)
>More challenging for veteran players (DS1 and DS3 are pretty much cakewalks compared to DS2)
>More varied world design (even though the level design isn't as good)
I honestly enjoyed myself more and played DS2 for much longer than I played DS1, and DS3 has already grown stale for me. DS3 just retreads too much ground from DS1 to where it just doesn't feel fresh and exciting. It just feels like Miyazaki really wanted to get Souls over with.
I can only imagine how much better DS2 could've been though if Miyazaki was the director of it. Still, B-team's efforts very much welcome.

From a difficulty perspective, I agree.
From a design perspective, fuck no. The common saying of DS2 bosses mostly just being "dudes in armor" applies here. There was just too little variation.
