Tiny Toon Adventures for NES and Buster's Hidden Treasure for Genesis are also amazing.
Animaniacs on SNES is also one of my favorites, also by Konami. Haven't played the Genesis game though (it's a completely different game)

I actually found this game to be really enjoyable, all the way up until the last chapter. The way the ending worked it, kind of just invalidated everything I'd done regardless of what choice I made, which was a really unsatisfying way to end the game.
Still unbeatable.

Holy shit, this system is unintuitive.
I learned Civ5 and Age of Wonders combat just by playing, but I will have to read a guide to get whats happening here.
Protip: if I cant understand your combat system just by playing the game, its bad.
