Can you guys suggest me some good ways to play doom nowdays? I tried brutal doom but i didn't like it, too fast and weird for me.
idk play the original without mods in a source port like zdoom.
Chocolate doom if you want it as close to the original as possible
If you want the best graphics then doomsday engine, it even features "real" visual height/z-axis
If you want modability then go for zdoom

Tom Clancy game. IE: the villain was doing stupid shit for indiscernible reasons and nobody acts like a human would. The characters are flat and the conflicts are flatter.
When was the last time a Clancy game made your jaw drop because the design was so pretty? Never for me, I think they're quite dull

Yfw people are literally scared of this boss. I'm helping people out with this guy and the hosts are basically rolling around or standing in the distance, ocasionally coming in to try and get a hit and they get rekt by an easily dodgeable attack. Why would you even wanna play like this?

I never had camera problems in this game. Honestly, if you lock on to the boss, I don't see how the camera could ever fuck up

I will say that Dark Souls, or at least what I've played of it, is the game that comes closest to capturing the essence of Katsuya Terada's classic art for the NES Zeldas.
I mean, Zelda was never supposed to actually have that tone or feeling, but I do long for a game that has that. A Souls type of game with some Zelda inspiration and a color palette more like this art would be great.

How is it with all the expansions?
About hundred hours played here, its one of my favorite 4Xs. The vanilla game is good but when you pile up the expansions on it, it becomes great due to all the features and additional map events.
Should take advantage of this thread and ask this as well.
If I loved the first age of wonders but absolutely detested the second, will I like this?
Pretty great. The classes play totally different while each having their own cool shit, the units and spells are fun (though the elemental spheres are a bit too samey for me).
It also has a good, clean UI which is rare for the genre
