How important are the movement options in a video game for you?
Proper game design includes designing a game's puzzles and environments around a character's movement.
Mario 64 felt so good because that's exactly what they did. The first thing they finished was Mario's movement mechanics.

I'm a sucker for fluid movements like sliding over surfaces
>>336211804
Extremely, it's why I prefer SM64 over Galaxy for example.
Don't spare the details
I don't play video games

Can't fucking wait for survival mode, Far Harbor, and console mods.
Anyone else think survival mode will be good?

Genuinely more excited for this weeks survival mode overhaul than I have been for any new game releases.
I completely stopped playing when it was announced, and plan on doing a full playthrough on release.
Should have come with the game back in November, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

I forgot how bad you younger kids are at video games.
Tell me what you think of Shadowrun Returns.
Could be better, hacking is piss easy.
Dragonfall is good

Nothing special but has produced some decent content worth a playthrough
How is this shit balanced? As usual they completely fail to make it plausible for most classes to even use this decktype. Instead it's just another tool for control classes that have already been dominating the meta for ages.
I have so many fucking questions as to what their thought process was with this card. Why do the minions have such great stats? Many of them are extremely tanky which makes them really good for trading. Their effects aren't really stoppable either and they don't require any real synergy to work like mechs, dragons, beasts, etc...
And that's one of my other big problems. C'Thun buffs affect him regardless of where he is. This means that if C'Thun dies and you play another C'Thun card, it buffs him anyway. This wouldn't be such an issue if he DIDN'T FUCKING RETAIN HIS STATS FROM DEATH. This means that if C'Thun died as a 15/15 then he still stays 15/15 and the next time they play a C'Thun based minion it starts him off at those stats.
What this means is that you're completely fucked against Warrior and Priest because they can play C'Thun on curve at no actual risk. Once he's dead, they can just keep buffing him and then play that minion that reshuffles him in.
To make matters worse there are a lot of C'Thun cards that gain additional properties if C'Thun is strong enough. They are basically all completely broken battlecries for the mana cost. So you'll have Priest and Warrior using their minions that give them ten armor or heal for ten, even after C'Thun is dead.
For non C'Thun control decks you're completely hosed against C'Thun decks. Meanwhile any class that doesn't have good cards for control are locked out of C'Thun and are stuck with terrible mid range in a slow meta, or aggro which isn't viable except for with Zoolock and Aggro Shaman.
And even with all this shit there is still no viewable graveyard or even the ability to check the stats of C'Thun on both sides whenever you want. Fuck Blizzard.
>>335839991
It's balanced because Aggro Shaman stomps it.
>>335839991
just face Hunter or Zoolock their slow vanilla asses, cthun doesn't generally play any taunts until 6 (Druid) or 7 (Emperor), only priest runs any healing... just punish them if you're sick of it.
Darkshire Councilman is fucking busted
>playing C'thun priest
>Have 40 points in card healing plus vanilla minions on 1-3
Wheres your aggro god now?
What do people like about this boss again?
The first phase is awful and the second phase isn't that great either.

Seriously, read the negative reviews. They're all that stupid.
yeah, DS1 is the best by far

No one ever talks about this game despite:
>top-tier TRPG/SRPG gameplay, with 3D world exploring, and heavy focus on the world
>lots of characters/classes/skills/equipment to play around with and tons of customization
>interesting and believable story told by grounded, realistic characters
>start your own Ludos and train your own gladiators
>made by Lucas Arts studios, so the writing is clever and downright witty most times
>perfect orchestral score
>turn-based grid-based battle goodness, where your gladiator's need to win over the crowd is as important as overcoming the enemy
>virtually no randomness, your sword's hit, crit or miss comes down to your timing as a player
>large rosters on the field at once, as well as field variables and height factors that require planning ahead
>two stories, one for the proud Imperia(l) guy who starts his own gladiator school and one literally who fem-easy-mode
It's like Spartacus meets Final Fantasy Tactics meets Legend of Dragoon.
Are we too busy shitposting about Dark Souls 3, animu, SJW-whores and Twitter to talk about a really good game?
>>336210919
Oh cool, I'll see if I can find a copy somewhere. I've been very bored of all my games recently and this fill a gap if it's good
>>336211862
It's the perfect gap-filler (which as I type this I realize isn't as much of a compliment as I implied).
It came out for Xbox, Gamecube and PS2. The PS2 version, the one I own, is the one with the best graphical quality, but slightly longer load-times.
Gamecube looks slightly worse but loads a little quicker.
The Xbox one I've never played, but people say it's somewhere in the middle.
It also emulates really well on PCSX2 and decently on Dolphin!
How does one become a video game developer? Do you just have know people who are already in the industry or what, there isn't exactly a "game development" major in college and those video game industry schools are degree mills that'll only get you hired doing lines of code then laid off, if you're even that lucky.
>>336210861

>>336210861
>How does one become a video game developer?
develop video games
Are you talking about being a legitimate game developer, or becoming a meme like Notch or Gabe Newell or Todd Howard? There are a lot of people who are game developers. They got to where they are by developing video games.
By studying videogame-related activities (design, programming, 3D modelling etc) and being hired by a videogame company as a trainee/jr. employee position?
Or just starting your own company

Well walking your dog is important for its health
