The Jap version since it had much better music and Grant that wasn't broken and unplayable.
The English version was literally shit out as a romhack to cut costs since they didn't want to manufacture the more expensive chips packed in the Japanese cart.

The Japanese release has a better soundtrack (not that the Western release is bad there) but it's also pretty easy. I prefer the Western release's difficulty; Grant not throwing knives with every attack relegated him to navigation only. Not a big loss for me since the only character I really enjoy playing is Trevor.
I prefer Akumajou Densetsu overall, but the higher difficulty in Dracula's Curse is definitely a plus.

This game is overwhelming. This is the first Dark Souls game I've played. I don't know what the fuck is going on. I don't know who anyone is, or what any of the items do.
How are you expected to play this game without looking up guides online? This game is impossible to progress in if you go in completely blind, like I did.
I just now got to the undead settlement and that's only because I looked up videos and guides. There is no way I'd be able to get there without doing that.
I'm using the same armor I had when I started, yet I see all these posts with people in a bunch of different armors. Where the f#ck am I supposed to get new armor and weapons.
There's no way people can complete the quests you get without looking them up. The only reason I know there are quests is because I looked up info about the game. Some of the quests are so convoluted and easily messed up.
This game is too hard. And I'm good at games.

Most 2D metroidvanias are like 6-9 hours long, this is about 20-30 long but most people take 70-90 to beat it.

So I was thinking of making as close to a twink as possible in DS3, Rings and weapons from late game but low SL, maybe even some +1 or +2 rings.
What does /v/ think is the most annoying pvp weapon I could get equipped by SL 20. Possibly with the rings that boos your stats by 5 if needed?

Raw Astora Straight Sword with minimum requirements, put all your other levels into HP.
For rings, you'll want Hornet's Ring, Obscuring Ring, Untrue Dark Ring (for fashion reasons), and Cloranthy. Knight Slayers or Horse Hoof could also be good for setting up shield breaks. Ceastus in the offhand for parrying.
Raw Estoc is also a good weapon for PVP.

The Prisoners Chain is also a useful ring, you need to beat Champion to get the Hornet Ring anyway

As of right now, DaS2 has better PvP, and that's where all the time spent ingame comes from after beating it once or twice.
Hating DaS2 is a meme on /v/, I know, but when you look in Dark Souls 3 threads, it's not hard to see why. You're met with tons of people whining about how they want poise, how they summon for fights and how they're all having fun with their Refined Dark Swords.
I'm hoping the balance will continue to be improved on every week/two weeks, but even so, something needs to be done about how shit it is to invade in this game.
Until things change, DaS3 is the superior PvE game and that's it.

ITT we discuss the positive, best parts of the 3 souls games.
1: Atmosphere, music and enemy design.
2: Well I guess theres lots of content in the DLC I guess.
3. Online, combat mechanics, "story", pump-a-rum.
Music in 3 is pretty cool.
I can finally go through the game without having to worry about red phantoms hurting me or my feelings.
Too much Dark Souls period.
