But I think it'll have more staying power on consoles. I mean, Evolve still has a small but dedicated fanbase on consoles. And a ton of people still play Borderlands Handsome Collection. A lot of those some people will move on to Battleborn.

This version's been in development since 2012, actually. The version that was worked on from roughly 2009-10, which was the second incarnation of the game, was scrapped after being deemed by KT to be too similar to Ninja Gaiden.
