Why can't Japs make anime games that don't have horrendous amounts of clipping? Or even environments that don't look like basics shapes with shit textures?
I've heard people say budget is a big factor. Is it really though?

It's mostly due to Japs being lazy and technically incompetent and their market base not caring because they are more concerned with how cute the anime girls are than how polished the game is.

I'm getting it day 1 just for the singleplayer. Multiplayer is the same as every other fps.

The console playerbase was not ready for such an online gaming experience, It sucked to have to pay extra for a ps2 modem (dreamcast had one integrated and it was released a year earlier) It suffered from long loading times. Also shitty AI made SP boring
But the concept, art style and gameplay was generally good.
I dunno, PSO seemed to do okay on Gamecube, even though that one didn't come with a modem, either.
Maybe if the novelty of online play wasn't the only thing the game had going for it things would have been different.

I think it failed because most game journalists during that time did not play online. Their experience was offline with stupid npcs. Most places gave it a 6/10 and said it was bad. Most ps2 owners also didn't have a ethernet modem so they played offline.
It's a shame since it's a really really good online game despite the long load times.

How the fuck am I supposed to play this? The battle system is an absolute clusterfuck. I effectively have to fight two separate battles on two separate screens with two different control systems against functionally independent groups of enemies. And now they introduced fusion attacks, which means I also have to pay a fucking memory matching game while doing all that. Apparently you can't just leave your partner on auto our they're useless against bosses, but you can't just memorize the combos and do then without looking because the enemies jumping around interrupt your attacks.
But people here seem to live the game, so I must obviously be doing something wrong, since I doubt I'm the only person on /v/ born without the ability to play two fucking games at the same time.
So help me out. What the fuck am I missing? What am I doing wrong?

You can either give the rights to the film to Studio Ghibli, or Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Studio Ghibli's version will be a fairly typical Ghibli film. Their version of Link will be silent.
Disney's version will be a traditional, hand drawn animation, and will be a musical film. Their version of Link will have to be voiced, but they'll also be giving Ganondorf one of the best villain songs that you've ever heard.
As a bonus, you can choose which game's visual style the film should emulate, and which game's plot the film should be loosely based on.
