The 1080 will be the fastest (and probably most expensive) card for a year but then they'll start dropping support for it and start gimping drivers for their new batch of cards (Ti and so on). Plus AMD is absolutely wrecking NVIDIA's shit in Vulkan and DX12. The 290/390 are on par with the 980 now.

Wow, that's seriously nothing. I half heartedly enjoyed it for around 100, by the 400 mark I loved it.
No you've just discovered that this genre is generally pretty mediocre. TF2 and Overwatch require other people for your fun, there's not enough substance beyond 'shoot each other' to keep you engaged. I'm sure these games are popular with people who have groups to play them with.

I can't believe how garbage pretty much online community is lately, I'm speaking from my experiences with the Overwatch beta but it's the same pretty much everywehre. It legitimately feels like every person is the same edgy 17 year old and it's mindboggling. I remember it always being shitty obviously but not as bad as its becomes. Why is this?
Personally I blame twitch, I don't think any community has spawned so many cancerous little shits as it. You even see these fucking children saying shit like "Kappa" all the time.

I'm almost 30 and got to see the slow burn of online interaction, and everyone else around my age who was remotely involved in online gaming will agree that everything started a downward spiral when Halo 2 came out and "Xbox Live kiddies" were the only raging autistic shitters online.

Probably Stronghold. You might give a little pirate game called Tempest a shot. A lot like Sid Meiers Pirates (another game I really enjoyed) but with a fantasy twist and some really gorgeous battles.

I feel the same way desu, can't think of a game I ahd mroe fun with than Witcher 3. Straight 90 hours of non-grinding (unless you're a retard who did those questionmarks) fantastic content. great writing, great characters, decent combat (even if it had some dumb features, atleast wasn't annoying), decent RPG mechanics, looked amazing, great atmosphere, great quests.
There are a lot worse candidates for favorite game.

The password system does make it simple to link with the friend but everything afterwards is random and unnecessary roadblocks for gameplay.
We just want to play through the game at the same time. Yet we have to do everything twice for each world?
Like I understand it's making the game easier but we're trying to stick to only starting gear to make it more of a challenge. The creeps and bosses should be the challenge - not the bloody online phantom system.

Each generation of vidya produced not only better graphics, but more gameplay possibilities and depth as well.
But this current generation seems to just be about graphics. What new innovations in gameplay have occurred?
