Beats me. By all means, the new KI should have crashed and burned. How it succeeded and is still living in its third season is a mystery to all.

Finally my prayers have been answered. This is the only game I've ever truly wanted since I first started playing video games. A free-roaming space exploration game with immersive worlds. Can't wait.

I did this as I went through the Persona series and some nice threads were had, so I'll try it with SMT as well.
After finishing Persona 3 (and not being very fond of it), I decided it was time to try SMT, so I played the PSX version of the first game. Honestly there's not too much to say about it. Demon fusing was cool, I got into it more than I did in Persona for some reason. Status effect bullets and Zio spells really made large parts of the game quite easy (not that it was entirely a cakewalk, every now and then a random set of demons would show up and slap my shit). I didn't even use my demons outside of boss battles very often.
I don't think it was exactly great though, I got pretty bored around the time I went to Roppongi because it just one increasingly large maze after another with not much happening. The same could be said for other games I like, so I don't know why it bored me in SMT. At least I started getting back into it towards the end.
I'll play the second eventually, but I might play Strange Journey first, I've heard some good (and bad) things about that one. The premise sounds interesting.
What do you think about the first SMT? How's the second compared to the first? What's your favorite SMT?
Oh yeah, a funny thing happened. The humans were level 70 when I fought Astaroth and got 3000 something EXP from the fight, but somehow leveled up 28 times. I have never had that happen in any game before. I don't think it actually did a whole lot for me though.
2 is better than 1 gameplay-wise. The story is about the same level (which I rarely care).
SJ is much better in both. But you totally should play 2 first.

Why is that? Normally I would, but like I said, the first game kinda bored me a bit after awhile, and I've heard that while 2 is better, it's largely similar, so I figured I'd give myself some time before I dove into it.

Dark Souls 1 is pretty bad though, Dark Souls 3 improves on it mechanically in every way. It had good world design but a ton of backtracking because of that. Would be almost as good as DS3 if you could warp from the start.

Is the PS Vita worth getting? I stopped paying attention to it and videogames as a whole for a while so I don't know what's come out for it or how things are looking for it's longevity compared to other systems. My favorite genres are JRPGs/ARPGs and fighting games.

Does Sonic 3 and Knuckles have any objectively bad zones? The only one I think I can say I don't love is Death Egg Zone act 2, and both Hidden Palace and Sky Sanctuary are so short they're hardly zones.
