As far as Quantic Dreams go, I had the most fun with Heavy Rain, and laughed the hardest at Indigo Prophecy.
Beyond Two Souls was kind of that in-between, where the pacing wasn't effective enough for me to get genuinely invested in the story, but the plot wasn't over-the-top ridiculous enough for me to have a popcorn-filled laugh at it.
It's really not half as bad as it's reputation.

Depends on what you already own and what type of Open World games you enjoy.
It's probably wise waiting for sales but some decent games are: Saints Row IV, Grand Theft Auto V, The Witcher 3, Don't Starve, MGSV, Just Cause.

I will admit that the maps design is actually more open than i expected, the inclusion of automap at all is nice, and they remind me a bit of navigating Metroid Prime's maps
