Does /v/ actually get mad when black people are in video games? I get mad when games try and push social justice on me but I really didn't have a problem with Nadine. Yeah, I never want to play another WoW clone ever again. New mechanics, playstyles, and having a player-driven sandbox instead of a
quest-driven game matter a whole lot more to me than the setting when deciding to pick up another MMO.
No. No more MMORPGs period. Just make a single player game about going through Starfleet Academy. But not shit like the actual Starfleet Academy game we got.
Then make another game similar to Galactic Civilization. But set in the Alpha Quadrant and based on Star Trek races.
I played the new Doom, I loved it
I played Doom 1 and 2, I loved it
I played Doom 3... and I loved it
But wait, let me explain
I know it was a massive slow down compared to the previous 2, and didn't have Doom like gameplay besides a few shoe ins here and there
But the game literally captured the whole essence of hell and suffering so well, this game is literally atmosphere on crack, especially the hell level
All because it had a focus on "realistic" graphics so it felt that much more real, while the other Dooms, including the new one (not bad, but different) had that cartoony effect
If it was instead a new IP instead of Doom, I'm more than positive it would've been far more well recieved
It's a fun game
It's like everybody forgets the entire second half of it. You don't need to have 50 guys on screen at a time for it to feel hectic

I have always thought doom 3 was a great game, better than hl2 in fact, but after d44m came out I gotta wonder how genuine some of the praise the game gets now is
