Seems like they should have just merged the carvings into new gestures, especially since there already is a gesture that actually says something.
Why did this game get slammed by everyone again ? I often see people saying it's the weakest title in the entire franchise, so worse than gun survivor, worse than 5 and 6, worse than Gaiden, worse than half the games in the franchise really.

Microsoft Announced today "Forge - Halo 5 Guardians Edition" for Windows 10 computers.
Basically it's forge that can be built with a mouse and keyboard on PC for use in Halo 5 on Xbox One. 4K resolution is also confirmed.
Thoughts?
You can play custom games, so basially Halo 5 on PC. No proper matchmaking or official maps though.

Just look at Lords of the Fallen
Sold poorly because most people weren't about to drop money on a game that claimed to be Souls-like without being able to try it, and then interest only got kindled 6 months later when they cracked it, by which point most paying customers wrote it off as a cheap clone.
Same with JC3, where the few people buying it found out it wasn't that good and generally warned people off of it.

I once thought Doom 3 was shit. Today, I appreciate it a lot, especially with Redux mod.
Two problems.
One is that the intro was already stale back when it came out, mimicking HL's "storytelling" model. Go through a facility, apocalypse happens, go back through the same facility and watch lest you slip on the blood.
The other is that it's hard to get into Doom 3 once you played FEAR. Gunplay is very weak and what's worse some enemies desintegrate as soon as they die. Very, very floaty despite good sound design.I still can't believe how this piece of shit that is neu Doom was so well received. At least Doom 3 tried to do something new. And it shits all over neu Doom in every regard including visual fidelity.

As a long time classic Doom fan, I liked Doom 3 for what it was.
Get Trent Renzor soundpack and you are all set.
People can shit on Doom 3 all they want but it's better than the new game. Not to say that the new game is irredeemably awful, but the game design was just plain better in every way in Doom 3 with the only sour point being 'it's too fucking dark' which you can fix with mods (or just turning the brightness really high).
Which reminds me, snapmap pales in comparison to actual real mods. I hate this "WE HAVE TO CONTROL EVERYTHING" mentality these developers/publishers have these days.

Going to be getting a Xbox One in a few days with Destiny Legendary Edition. I have a ton of games saved up from the monthly free games from Xbox Live.
I was curious about a couple free to play games though.
I wanted to know how free to play Killer Instinct was as well as how fun Smite is on console. I played Smite on PC and it was alright.
Any tips on Xbox One first impressions. Like some stuff I should do?

Yes I grabbed them all and added them to my Xbox One profile.
I can only afford Destiny for now but I plan to get Division next. I'm kinda hesistant to get Black Ops 3 again because I've had it on Xbox 360 and I'm already max prestige with dark matter because I don't want to grind again.
Did we ever find out why the Wii U was such a fucking colossal failure?
It's all down to the gimmicky gamepad and developers lack of creative use for it.
I think it's also partially the face the users just didn't want to give the gamepad a chance.
If they shipped a wii u with the controller only, I bet sales would spike.
