Is there a video game character that has had harder life than Simon?

Okay so I know that Civ 4 is the approved Civ game in /v/. I'm tired of playing Civ 5 due it it's 1upt, small maps, dumbed down gameplay for casuals, and a bunch of other stuff and I don't want to play Civ 3 since I feel the game is broken just about. So before I buy this game with all the expansions in the Steam Summer Sale, I have questions:
-Does governments work like the previous civs before it in which you can use them when you have researched them or is it similar to the policy tree bullshit that Civ 5 does?
-How many cites do you usually settle in a typical game? I don't mind not being able to settle as many cities as you do in Civ 3 but I don't want to have less than 10 cities in a regular game without having to conquer other civs like in Civ 5.
- I've heard units use a different statistics in Civ 4 that is different from previous games but the real question is, can I build stacks of doom?
These are the three things I must know before I buy, the rest of the changes in the game I can deal with probably. So how is it?

I liked Dracula X. The levels were actually really tough because of the enemies, unlike all the other games where enemies are super cannon fodder and you're meant to tear through hundreds of them just going from one room to the other.

Everything they show is just landing on planets. But, I'm actually more interested in what you do in SPACE in this SPACE game.

They ruined it by making Booker actually Comstock.
It also would have been better if we had self-righteous monologues from Comstock like we did Ryan in the first game.
Do not get me wrong /v/, Metroid will always be one of the most favorite video game series of all time to me. That being said I think Nintendo fucked up when it came to the design of Samus without her powersuit on.

Ironically blizzards nod to Samus in Overwatch, Pharah, has more elements of Egyptian alien bird than Samus does.
Chozo are not egyptian, and it's both conceivable and likely they tried to raise her as close to the way a human would for her benefit. She's wearing a fucking suit of Chozo battle armor, what more do you want? White, blue eyed, and blonde haired are the pinnacle of attractiveness, why pollute that with tattoos or piercings.

dont get me wrong I dont want fucking goth piercing on hers. im just curious why they did not choose to go a more different root in terms of make up and design. like in terms of piercing give her earrings or something that look like chozo glyphs or make her make up style around her eyes incorporate chozo paint patterns. just food for thought.

You are correct, this game freatures no procedural generation. If you chose 'random world' from the title screen menu it does randomise the order of the levels, however. Presents are also randomised, of course.
what are some other good procedurally generated games?
