Here is my game that proves capitalism is not a mistake. SJW produced a game that got good reviews by gaming "journalists," it is about a black woman cleaning a house and complaining about racism. It did so badly that it tanked the studio and the creator went on to twitter to insult all gamers because they are so racist that they didn't buy their masterpiece.

Items aren't consumable, they're all cosmetic, and more importantly, you get a loot crate without paying every time you level up (which is like 40 minutes of playtime)

Nah, it's not dead but it doesnt have a huge community either. Ques range from near instant to 5-10 min, based on what time of day and peak play times and such.

Does a SSD make a difference in PC gaming?

RAM is probably the most important. If you have enough, your PC can cache programs' and games' files into RAM, which entirely skips the process of accessing the HDD or SDD.
RAM won't save you from OS startup or starting up a game for the first time, though. Still gonna need to load code/assets from the HDD or SSD. But once that shit is in RAM, nigga your shit be fast. For example, my OS starts up slow as fuuuuuck because I have a mechanical HDD. Same with my games. Slooow. But once it's cached, my experience with doing all my tasks (and games) becomes lightning fast.
So, yes, an SSD will improve system performance. Bootups will be WAY faster, and so will accessing data not-yet cached, and so will launching a game not cached into RAM yet. Don't expect your frame-rate to go up though.
