To summon others for help talk to the knight you meet after beating Taurus demon. You'll go into a building and then when you come out turn right. There's also a stone for summoning players to fight but I forget where that is.

Use an emulator.
Fast forwarding through the fights is way more bearable.
There's also this cool feature where if you out level a random encounter by a ton, you instantly win without going to the battle screen.
You're getting your ass beat because you're a low level I bet.
It's widely known you have to grind for a bit when you have no other party members.
I won't blame you for giving up but I will call you a faggot.
I find grinding inexcusable in any and all games but it's a damned requirement if you want to beat the first hour of the game and then you literally never have to grind for the rest of the game.
I believe level 8 or 10 was needed if you want to not die every time a Shark looks your way.

first of all, 22 hours seems fine to me.
second... there are 12 maps, 4 modes, 21 characters.
it's on par/more with other competetive FPS games. if you are "already bored" then maybe you just don't like the game itself much or you are burnt out.

It got a lot better for 3 though, i actually enjoyed parrying shield enemies and then stabbing them on the ground
But mainly i play witcher 3 because i'm always questioning how they got the voice actors to read every single piece of unique dialogue for each and every fucking single side quest
