Dickwraith anon here, I actually did end up going to Anal Rodeo just because I was tired of running around all of Lordran trying to pick up the Fire Ember, getting to Vamos, ect. After struggling with 4Kangs for a while, it was comical seeing Ornstein go down to four great fireballs

I tried pvping in the Oolacile Township area. I never played DS1 online but damn why do all people jst fish for backstabs while equpiing hornet's. even though I was very upset about ds3, pvping is much more satisfying there, even with all the gank squads around.
After I started a new character on lower level, the invasions were quite fun tho.

Level dex four times, now you can wield Quelaag's Furysword that scales off humanity and you can invade everyone except level 1s.

It's not that reliable, if I remember correctly from the speedrunning days, we were crunching it to around 10-20% with one humanity I think? You can do a glitch to give yourself a shitton of humanity by item duping the fire keeper soul. Get 10 humanity through that and you'll be looking at 210 item discovery I think. That will help at least a bit, but I'd bank on landing at a 25-30% chance with that.
You could always go and try grab the other Black Knight weapons, either the two sword types in burg/parish or the axe in catacombs. They're all ridiculously strong and I think they ignore armor, not completely sure though.

Combat has basically been reduced to r1 and roll spamming even in PvE because there are OP enemies that move at the speed of light and can take down half of your health in a single hit. I started as pyromancer so I had to level my dex to 14 before I could use any weapons, and then I leveled my strength to 16 so I could 1 hand the halberd. Did I fuck it up? Honestly mage classes just eat straight dick until about 50% through. I don't recommend them unless you've played through it before.
I played pyro and once I got to the point where I had good stats for casting it was fine but I had to make a sword raw to actually do any damage to get to that point.
If you keep playing that guy go get the astora SS and make it raw, and just dump stats into int/fth. by lv60 you should be able to kill bosses in like 8 casts

you've only got the vanilla whip, notched whip, and the guardian's tail to choose from. vanilla whip is in blighttown, you can get to it fairly quickly with the master key and a bit of luck. i've found it tracks better if you keep it in the left hand, so you can supplement it with a longsword or rapier

You can run to Pinwheel at the start and have Leeroy beat him for you (for the souls). Then run to Vamos and make a fire weapon that'll steamroll a lot of the game. There's some good weapon choices that you can get quickly enough early too, like great scythe, uchi, zweihander, lucerne.

That's the basic jist of it. Put in more endurance if you want to wear heavier armor and still roll properly. You can also add some attunement slots and use pyromancies on top.
