I guarantee Bethesda is going to take a much longer time will the elder scrolls to try and one up TW3. CDPR is forcing Bethesda to actually try and make a good game so they can stay on the throne of open world RPG makers. Or at least I really hope so.

I got the Sands of Time trilogy a while back but still have yet to touch it. I've heard it has issues and now I'm hesitant to actually play it. Are any of them game breaking or detrimental to the experience? I think I heard about it fucking up someone's PS3 even but I'm not sure if I just imagined that.

The only "issues" is that they removed the bloom and toned down the fog since they interferred with 3D and this trilogy was made back when Sony was selling the 3D gimmick. Removal of bloom is kinda detrimental in case of PoP since it added to the 1000 and 1 nights aesthetic.

Yep, the PC versions are a lot better.
GOG versions aren't a hassle to get working at all, and on GOG forums go into PoP section and they have widescreen guide pinned, there's also a thread telling you how to uncensor Two Thrones (since it was censored on PC). PS3 version of TT is also censored btw since it's based on PC releases. The censorship is just removal of decapitations btw, nothing else.

Civ5: Ok, but gets boring after 2 hours
Endless legend: After 3-4 games it feels like you've seen most of the game and units/combat system
Age Of Wonders 3: Good game, just that if one of your heroes dies early in the game it fucks you over, and as soon as you have tier IV units you fuck over just about anything.
Sorcerer King: Interesting concept, but the map feels so bland, and the combat strength of enemies isn't always clear, especially in the beginning. Having 3 rangers oneshot your healer/ranged without being able to reach them in time sucks dick.
I just want a strategy game with good combat/exploration/expansion with a huge range of different units that are viable.
Most other games, especially the space ones feel like autism simulators that are more of a chore than actually having fun and leveling your units.
